German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called on Friday for countries that can deliver main battle tanks to Ukraine to “really do it”, while shipments cited by the allies are slower than expected.
Military support for Ukraine must continue and “this implies that everyone who can provide such battle tanks really does,” Olaf Scholz told the Munich Security Conference.
The chancellor also said on Friday that Germany’s financial, humanitarian and military support for Kiev was designed to “last a long time” nearly a year after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and with no de-escalation in sight.
