Two new unicorns at Next40

New entrants to Next40 include Two Unicorns (companies valued at over $1 billion), EcoVadis (corporate CSR performance assessment) and NW Storm (electric vehicle charging stations). Nine start-ups that have raised more than 100 million euros are also on the list: ClubFunding (crowdfunding), Electra (charging stations), Flying Whales (airship balloons), Innovafeed (breeding insects for food ), Pigment (planning financing), Safti (real estate agents), Verkor (electric batteries), Wifirst (Wi-Fi for professionals) and ZePlug (recharging stations).

To enter the club of the 40 most dynamic companies, you had to have unicorn status or have raised at least 100 million euros between 2020 and 2022. The French label Tech 120, with broader criteria, sees companies like Deepki enter (data energy efficiency), ITEN (microbatteries), Qair (renewable electricity), Sweep (management of the carbon footprint of companies) or even Prophesee (electronic vision). The selection also contains around fifteen start-up companies that produce innovative biomedicines or medical devices. Women are still a very small minority in this ecosystem: there are only 15 leaders or co-founders, just one more than last year.
