During a Renaissance party convention, the prime minister promised on Monday to sign into law a recently concluded agreement between unions and employers on “shared value.”

Elisabeth Borne promised this Monday to transcribe into law a recently concluded agreement between unions and employers on “shared value”, which generalizes devices such as profit sharing, participation or bonuses to all companies with more than 11 employees.

“I commit myself on behalf of the Government, we will respect the compromise reached between the social partners and we will propose the faithful and complete transcription of this agreement into law”, declared the Prime Minister before various ministers and the presidential party. Renaissance, gathered in convention in Paris around this topic, describing this agreement as “very rich”.

Agreement open for signature until February 22

After months of complicated negotiations, the business organizations (Medef, CPME and U2P) and unions (CFDT, CGT, FO, CFE-CGC and CFTC) presented on February 10 a text to “make existing systems more accessible” and “continue simplify profit sharing, profit sharing and employee participation schemes and strengthen their attractiveness”.

The agreement is open for signature by unions and business organizations until February 22. Two unions, the CFDT and the CFTC, announced last Wednesday their intention to sign this commitment reached with the employer.

The president of Medef, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, called on the Government this Sunday to respect the agreement reached with the unions on the distribution of value in companies, without emptying it of substance.
