The head of government plans to announce on Friday a plan of 100,000 million euros until 2040 for rail transport.
Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne is scheduled to announce on Friday a 100 billion-euro plan for rail transport by 2040, the first of which will be the launch of “metropolitan RERs” in major French cities, Matignon said on Thursday.
The government wants to have a precise planning of the investments in transport infrastructures by June, after having discussed it with the regions and interested partners, based on the conclusions of a report of the Infrastructure Orientation Council (IOC) that will be delivered to the Ms. Borne on Friday, her entourage told AFP.
