The number of foreign investment projects in France reached a new record in 2022, with 1,725 investment decisions, that is, 7% more than in 2021, which was already a record high, according to figures published this Monday by Business France. .

The United States regained the lead in the ranking ahead of Germany last year, with 280 projects against 256 on the other side of the Rhine. Almost half of the projects in the tertiary sector
In detail, the creation of establishments represents half of the investment projects but only 29% of the jobs created, while the extensions of existing locations represent 46% of the projects but two thirds of the jobs, the rest being made up of company acquisitions by foreign investors.
