To demonstrate against the pension reform it will not be necessary to go far from home. The inter-union organizes more than 260 demonstrations throughout the country against the government’s project, which provides in particular for the postponement of the legal retirement age to 64 years.
The unions (CGT, FO, CFDT, FSU, Unsa, CFTC, Solidaires, etc.) give various information about the meeting points for this Tuesday the 7th.
However, by compiling the information publicly broadcast by SNES-FSU and CFDT, BFMTV.com was able to count 269 planned demonstrations against the pension reform.
More than a million participants
A sign that the mobilization must be important: the CFDT map, published on the union’s website and broadcast on social networks, has been viewed more than 800,000 times since its publication two days ago, indicates Google My Maps.
Between 1.1 and 1.4 million protesters are expected throughout France, according to the territorial intelligence note that BFMTV was able to consult last week, while 320 actions were announced in the country.
Many sectors will mobilize this Monday night to protest against the pension reform. A social movement that must pass “higher gear”, as the CGT leader Philippe Martínez called in the Sunday Newspaper (JDD).
Beyond the great riots for this Tuesday, the inter-union intends to resume the strike in many sectors -the first since the start of these actions- to break the government.
