Von der Leyen wants to counter US renewable subsidies

The president of the European Commission also indicated yesterday that the doubts surrounding the postponement of the end of sales of new CO2-emitting cars in the EU in 2035 could be resolved.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Sunday she was determined to counter challenges posed by US subsidies for green technologies and speed up a now-blocked law on phasing out combustion-engined cars from of 2035.
