mySofie, making health insurance accessible and transparent for all

mySofie is the mobile app that allows French people to track and optimize their healthcare reimbursements with just a few clicks. A real saving of time and money for many users who benefit from a user-friendly solution that should gradually become widespread.

“Everyone knows how to find a doctor, an osteo or a dental surgeon, but nobody knows how the reimbursement of social security works, the mutuals and what are the rights of each person”. Based on this observation, Philippe Baranski co-founded mySofie with the aim of making the topic of healthcare reimbursement accessible to everyone.

This clever and easy-to-use mobile app allows you to monitor and optimize health spending for the whole family. In fact, it is possible to connect up to 15 health contracts in the application “We offer a clear view of both the reimbursement and the level of coverage for our users. In this way, they can visualize which people are less covered in terms of their consumption of health care” adds Philippe Baranski.

For the preservation of purchasing power

If mySofie simplifies the administrative life of many families, it also highlights the reimbursements that their mutual has not made, be it for technical or other reasons, and allows them to recover the money they are owed.

On average, three out of four users were able to recover at least one missing refund, or €204 for a family of three.

But mySofie does not stop there and addresses the remaining charge, which represented 15.8 billion in France in 2021, offering myBooster, an additional formula that will automatically reimburse between 50% and 75% of the rest dependent on city medicine, alternative medicine and dentistry . “Today this additional plugin works without you having to send any invoices. We receive a certified flow from social security and mutuals and we reimburse automatically » explains Philippe Baranski.

Open data at the service of all

mySofie offers its self-service APIs and aims to be available to all players in the insurance world to improve the transfer of information for the benefit of the relationship with the client and the understanding of the health system: “mySofie aims to enable users to understand, benefit from and purchase health insurance with a clear conscience” concludes the co-founder.

With approximately 390,000 members on the platform, the application is attracting more and more users who want to stop being deceived by a sometimes incomprehensible and difficult-to-access health system. From now on mySofie intends to offer new services but above all a new way of taking out insurance.

By the end of 2025, the startup hopes to have 2.5 million users on its platform and become an integral part of the healthcare landscape in France.
