A CGT-FO-CFDT inter-union meeting in general assembly on Monday at the TotalEnergies refinery in Donges, near Saint-Nazaire, called for a renewable strike starting at 5 am Tuesday, against the pension reform.
“We are in an inter-union with good representation of the workers, we have every possibility of pressing for the government to reverse its pension reform,” continued Adrien Vaugrenard to explain the alliance with the CGT and FO.
No more fuel drops
This inter-unionization is unusual, since in October, during the wage negotiations at TotalEnergies, the two majority unions, the CFE-CGC and the CFDT, had signed an agreement, while the CGT called for the continuation of the strike.
In Donges, “as of Tuesday morning, 5:00 a.m., no more fuel will leave or enter the refinery. Neither by pipe, nor by wagon, nor by truck,” explained Fabien Privé Saint-Lanne, union delegate of the CGT.
“There really is anger and determination on the part of the employees before a government that is so deaf today and with so much contempt for the world of work,” he assured after the reunion.
