“Is CGT 13 becoming pro-Russian?” This title of an article by Provence angered Oliver Mateu, secretary of this departmental union and declared candidate for the succession of Philippe Martínez to the position of general secretary of the CGT, a guest on the set of BFMTV this Thursday. “What we have been saying from the beginning is that we don’t have to choose between one imperialism or another. They are two capitalisms that collide,” he says of the war in Ukraine.
“They are massacring the people of Russia and Ukraine”
“We did not choose between Zelensky and Putin. Because the truth behind Zelensky is NATO, Biden and the arms lobby that is gorging itself”, advances the head of the CGT 13, who underlines the economic consequences of the conflict, with the speculation “on food prices” that all we experience.
“They are in the process of massacring the peoples of Russia and Ukraine under the bombs”, continues Olivier Mateu, who takes the example of the Russian side of the young men forcibly recruited by Vladimir Putin’s army.
“To the extent that the interests that one or the other defends do not concern the interest of their peoples, I tell them: we do not support either of them, we need peace now,” concludes the head of CGT 13.
