PSG studies the Saint-Cloud racecourse to build its new Parc des Princes

BFM BUSINESS INFO – The president of France Galop Edouard de Rothschild indicates that Paris Saint-Germain is considering the Saint-Cloud racecourse in Hauts-de-Seine to establish there the new venue of the capital club.

The Parc des Princes could finally move… only a few kilometers. While PSG have been looking for several years to expand their stadium to align its reception capacity with the club’s sporting ambitions, the work to expand the venue seems particularly compromised, especially as the Paris city hall is not open to a sale of the Park. of the Princes

France Galop president Edouard de Rothschild told BFM Business today that Paris Saint-Germain would be interested in the Saint-Cloud racecourse, located just four kilometers from the location of the Parc des Princes in Hauts-de-Seine, to build their new stadium there.

“The idea of PSG, which in fact approached us, is to examine whether we could make a stadium more or less buried, more or less inserted in the middle of the racetrack. And we don’t have to study all the solutions and don’t argue: it could be a pretty fantastic project.”

Candidate for the takeover of the Stade de France

Karl Olive, former mayor of Poissy, the Yvelines town that will house the new PSG training center, had invited the club from the capital to also install its future stadium on its territory. Paris Saint-Germain will apply for the contest launched by the State to sell the Saint-Denis venue by the summer of 2025, an internal source at the club said on Friday, confirming information from the L’Crew newspaper.

“We are candidates for the Stade de France” to buy the venue, whose price is estimated at around 600 million euros, explained an internal PSG source on Friday, specifying that the file has not yet been submitted.

The full interview with Edouard de Rothschild will air tonight on Good Evening Business.
