Guillaume Mulliez, the grandson of the founder of the Auchan group, was killed Monday in an avalanche in the Savoyard town of Modane, BFMTV learned.
At lunchtime, a group of six people, including Guillaume Mulliez, were caught in an avalanche and buried in the snow. Despite the intervention of the emergency services, Guillaume Mulliez died instantly. The other five people who accompanied him escaped unharmed.
Guillaume Mulliez, 61, comes from the famous Mulliez business family. After developing a franchise network for Phildar Canada, he created Dimo Software, a company that offers business management solutions.
