Will the eighth day of mobilization mark a turning point for the protest movement against the pension reform? The inter-union, which continues to ask to be received by Emmanuel Macron, called for a new day of national strike this Wednesday, March 15.
As since the beginning of the mobilization, the CGT has published on its website a map of the demonstrations scheduled for tomorrow throughout metropolitan France. There are 234 meeting points, distributed in various cities of the country, which are listed by the CGT and visible on the map below.
The CGT calls for “a new day of powerful strike”
In Paris, the procession will depart from the Esplanade des Invalides in the early evening at 2:00 p.m. to arrive at the Place d’Italie at the end of the day.
“Let’s make March 15, the day of the joint joint commission between the two legislative chambers, a new powerful day of strike and demonstration to withdraw this liberal reform project,” the union organization wrote in a press release a few days ago. .
The CGT claimed more than a million protesters in France on March 11, the last great day of mobilization against the pension reform, in front of 368,000 from the police. This is significantly lower than the previous mobilization weekend of February 11 during which the unions had then announced more than 2.5 million participants against the 963,000 for the Ministry of the Interior.
At the same time, the general secretary of the CFDT, Laurent Berger, confirmed that all the union leaders will demonstrate on Thursday in front of the National Assembly, the final day of the vote on the text by the deputies.
