Inflation reached 6.3% annually in France in February, driven by rising food prices, which have become its main driver ahead of energy, according to a final estimate revised slightly upwards on Wednesday by the INSEE.
“This rise in inflation is due to the acceleration of food prices”, which shot up 14.8% in one year, as well as services and manufacturing, while energy prices slowed ( 14.1%), detailed the National Institute of Statistics, which had previously estimated inflation at 6.2% annually in February.
