Fernando Fonseca Hospital, formerly known as Amadora-Sintra, is expected to be paralyzed for 11 days between April 10 and 21 due to a 24-hour strike by support, administrative and senior technicians called by the Federation of Trade Unions of Public Administration and public purpose entities (Fesap), according to the notice to Dinheiro Vivo. A month-long overtime stop is also planned between April 5 and May 5.
This is a protest against the decision of the administration of that public company entity (EPE) not to pay the valuation of 52 euros due to senior technicians, technical assistants and operational assistants of the general careers of the public service, as stipulated by the Legislative Decree No. 84-F/2022 of December 16.
Hospital Fernando Fonseca only applied the wage increases introduced for civil servants, from 52 euros for salaries to 2612.03 euros or 2% for higher salaries. “But he decided not to allocate the additional appreciation of another 52 euros to senior technicians, technical assistants and operational assistants,” revealed to Dinheiro Vivo, Fesap’s general secretary José Abraão.
