Traffic will continue to improve on the SNCF this weekend before the new mobilization day next Tuesday.
For Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March, the SNCF plans:
- 3 TER of 4 in national average,
- 3 TGV INOUI (France and International) and 4 OUIGO,
- 1 day INTERCITES 2,
- there is no INTERCITES traffic at night,
- normal or almost normal traffic for Eurostar and Thalys.
The operator also indicates that the interruptions will continue this Monday, March 27.
Remember that in the event of a strike, the conditions for changing or returning tickets are made more flexible.
SNCF thus indicates that “TGV and INTERCITES travelers affected by the cancellation of their train be contacted by email or SMS in order to exchange their ticket for another train free of charge as far as possible” before departure time.
Therefore, the change is free, while normally 19 euros are charged (15 euros for Intercités) if the request is made less than 7 days before departure.
free exchange
The SNCF also explains that customers can “cancel their ticket on SNCF sites and apps with a full refund” before departure time. The refund occurs on average 3 to 5 days after the customer’s request.
To facilitate the processing of the file, the SNCF specifies that “if your purchase has been made online, it is important to follow the process of the same site for the refund.” In addition, you can even request the free change and return of the trains maintained during the strike.
“TGV and INTERCITES travelers whose train is running have the same option. This procedure must be carried out before the departure of the train”, it can be read.
