For Medef, the government must rely on the social partners

Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, president of the employers’ organization, asks the government to be inspired by the agreement on value sharing managed and signed between the social partners.

While the dialogue of the deaf seems to be settling down between the government and the unions, Medef calls for a change in method, in anticipation of the new important laws that the executive is preparing (labor and immigration law).

In Franceinfo this Monday, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, president of Medef, asks the government to be inspired by the agreement on the distribution of value managed and signed between the social partners.

“The government must change its method”

“I give this example (of the value sharing agreement, editor’s note) because it is an interesting example. In the midst of the pension protests, we managed to sign an agreement that is quite historic on participation and profit sharing,” explains the leader.

And he continues: “I believe that the government must change its method, it no longer has a majority. It must rely on the social partners for the next bills on issues that are less conflictive. We must be able to sit at the table. We kept the line open with the unions,” she insists.
