The price of a basket of 12 basic personal hygiene items can cost 115 or 233 euros, depending on where it is purchased. According to an analysis by the price comparison service KuantoKusta, to which DN/Dinheiro Vivo had access, this difference (of 118 euros) exceeds 100% more often than one would think.
As those responsible for that platform explain, “price ranges are a reality” and many of the stores with good price positioning make this their main selling point. “There are others for whom price is not fundamental,” they declare.
In this analysis, which took place on two Mondays (the 13th and 20th of this month), the largest difference in prices found for products of the same brand and model was in women’s deodorants (361.7%), manual hair removal machines (91.8 %) and shampoo (151.5%).
