There are 15.72% of service stations in France with a shortage of at least one of the fuels (gasoline and/or diesel) that they offered on March 1, according to AFP’s analysis of data from the prices website of government fuels.

The department most affected continues to be Loire-Atlantique (55.06% of the stations with a shortage of at least one fuel). Other departments in the West are also heavily affected (Mayenne, Ille-et-Vilaine, Maine-et-Loire, all with over 40% shortage seasons), and the South is also still heavily affected (Bouches-du-Rhône for over 40%, various other departments over 30%).
The energy sector (gas, oil, electricity) has remained particularly mobilized since January 19 against the government’s pension reform.
Currently, two of the seven refineries continue to produce in France, the TotalEnergies refinery in Feyzin (Rhône) and the Esso-Exxon-Mobil refinery in Fos-sur-Mer (Bouches-du-Rhône). The La Mède biorefinery and the Donges refinery are shut down for maintenance or technical reasons.
Over the weekend, the Port-Jérôme-Gravenchon refinery, whose shipments are still blocked, was closed, Eric Sellini, elected national representative of the CGT Chimie, told AFP. Elsewhere, fuel shipments also remain blocked.
