MAP. Strike of March 28: where are the demonstrations against the pension reform on Tuesday organized?

The inter-union calls the French to strike and demonstrate this Tuesday, March 28 against the pension reform. Around 240 rallies or demonstrations are organized throughout the country.

The tenth national day on the initiative of the inter-union against the pension reform promises to be very popular in many sectors. CGT, FO, CFDT, FSU, Unsa, CFTC, Solidaires and youth organizations call for strikes and mobilizations this Tuesday, March 28 throughout the country. In many cities, demonstrations or rallies are planned.

The inter-union thus organizes about 240 demonstrations against the government project, which provides in particular for the postponement of the legal retirement age to 64 years.

Demonstrations across the country

By collecting the information publicly transmitted by CFDT and those featured in local media, BFMTV.com was able to count 238 planned demonstrations against the pension reform.

Between an increasingly mobilized youth and a “radicalization” of certain trade unionists, territorial intelligence expects a Black Tuesday, with outbursts similar to those of the 23 of March. For this 10th day of mobilization against the pension reform650,000 to 900,000 protesters should gather in around 200 French municipalities, including 70,000 to 100,000 people in Paris, provides the information in a note consulted by BFMTV.

These meetings will have “a physiognomy similar to that of March 23 in terms of blockades, strikes, but also clashes and damage“, they say.
