The dollar soars against the euro. While the US Central Bank (Fed) has just announced a major new hike in its key rates, the US currency rose steadily by 1.35% against the euro to hit its highest level in 20 years.
The greenback thus reached 0.9814 dollars per euro for the first time since the end of October 2002, that is, only a few months after the official transition to the single currency.
