Former transport minister Jean-Baptiste Djebbari has been appointed associate director of the Magellim group, a real estate investment fund, the company announced in a press release on Wednesday.
The former deputy “will co-pilot and structure a new fund, the purpose of which will be to contribute to decarbonization in various sectors, particularly transportation infrastructure,” Magellim said.

This appointment comes two weeks after the announcement of the departure of Jean-Baptiste Djebbari from the presidency of Hopium, a French start-up whose project is the construction of high-end vehicles powered by hydrogen.
Jean-Baptiste Djebbari was in charge of the transport portfolio between 2019 and 2022 within the Philippe and Castex governments.
Aircraft pilot graduated from the National School of Civil Aeronautics (ENAC), he first worked at the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) before joining a commercial aviation company, Jetfly, as director of flight operations.
He began a brief political career in 2017 by being elected deputy (LREM) for Haute-Vienne and then minister until 2022.
