Suspicions of tax evasion: the French banking federation files an appeal with the Council of State

The French banking federation (FBF) announced on Thursday that it had filed an appeal with the Council of State against the position of the tax authorities on the taxation of dividends for foreign holders of shares in listed French companies, within the scheme called “CumCum.”

“Today we are presenting an appeal before the Council of State,” a FBF spokesman told AFP, with the aim of having a “clear and coherent” legal framework on the issue, two days after raids on five major banks in France. suspected of having participated in this tax scheme.
