Medef’s voice has not been heard much in recent weeks on pensions. On BFMTV / RMC, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, president of Medef, recalled that he is “always in favor of this unpopular reform”. He also indicated that during this period a value sharing agreement was negotiated with the unions, “except the CGT”. “Four unions out of five is the traditional score.”
Now, it remains to approve this agreement in a law, as announced by the Minister of Economy, Bruno Le Maire.
An agreement on “a complicated issue”
For Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, the country faces conflicts of democracy and demands a change in the method to approve social laws. “It would be good if parliamentary democracy recognized the work of social democracy.”
The head of Medef announced that he would go to Matignon on Wednesday like all the other unions. He intends to talk about retirement, but also salary negotiations.
