However, according to the note, 22,600 invalid IBANs and 239,000 people without an IBAN registered with AT were identified in February, making a total of 261,600 people who have not yet received support for these reasons.

“To enable all taxpayers to update their IBAN, AT will continue to repeat payment orders until the end of April”says the Ministry of Finance.

Updating IBANs by taxpayers made it possible to pay 3.4 million euros in December, 1.7 million euros in January and 0.4 million euros in February, supporting some 42,500 people in these months, says the same font style.

According to the ministry, most taxpayers (nearly three million people) received aid in their account in October.

“That month, 400 million euros were returned to families, just within the range of these payments. About 1.6 million people received it in November (of which about 1.1 million in the first three days of the month), totaling more than 211 million euros delivered to families”completes the cabinet.

It is an income support of 125 euros (and 50 euros per dependent person), intended for people with a gross monthly income of less than 2,700 euros, announced in September and which began to be paid in October, to respond to the increase of the cost of life.

Support was also provided to beneficiaries of certain social benefits, in these cases paid by the social security.

At the time, the government indicated that this exceptional income support would cost approximately EUR 840 million, which would cover nearly 5.8 million people.
