After less than an hour of meeting between the government and the inter-union, the recognition of failure is evident. At the exit, Sophie Binet, general secretary of the CGT, testifies to her “cold anger”.
“We have the impression that the government is in a parallel reality, we have to land, we have to look at what is happening in the country, the courage in the country,” he stresses.
“A strategy of criminal rot”
Calling for a massive mobilization for Thursday, the official refutes the risk of radicalization of the protesters.
“We must withdraw this reform, repeats Sophie Binet. All this for the 12,000 million euros that the government says it wants to find with this reform when we have found hundreds of billions of euros for “whatever it costs”, that hundreds of billions of euros have been found to increase the military budgets, while all the union organizations have made dozens of alternative financing proposals that have not even been examined by the government”.
Consulted by BFMTV, the official asserted “that the government’s rotten strategy is criminal, it is serious.”
