TGV traffic interrupted south of Bordeaux after an act of vandalism

A fire caused on the railway between Morcenx and Laluque “damages the signaling control cables, preventing the movement of trains in both directions.”

An “act of vandalism” committed in the Landes has greatly disrupted the movement of trains in the southwest since Wednesday morning, the SNCF announced, specifying that no TGV would run south of Bordeaux until early afternoon.

According to the same source, a fire caused on the railway between the municipalities of Morcenx and Laluque “damages the signaling control cables, preventing the movement of trains in both directions.”

Consequently, traffic “will be very disturbed all day”: no TER will circulate between Dax and Morcenx nor any TGV between Bordeaux and Hendaye/Tarbes, “until early afternoon”, indicates the SNCF inviting users ” to cancel or postpone your trip”.
