Pensions: the inter-union “solemnly” asks the elected officials to repeal the reduction in age and the extension of contributions

BFMTV News. In a letter to deputies and senators, the union “solemnly” asks to vote on the bill that repeals the decrease in the effective retirement age and the extension of the contribution period.

The 49.3 did not scratch the will of the inter-union. In a letter, its members once again called on deputies and senators to vote on the bill that repeals the reduction of the effective retirement age to 64 years and the extension of the contribution period.

“It is not just a matter of preventing the establishment of an unjust system, it is also a matter of restoring confidence to the population in the reality and vigor of their democracy and of maintaining a threatened social cohesion”, declares the inter-Union.

In this message, the 13 signatories recall that since January during the 13 days of mobilization, “several million workers, youth and retirees have mobilized” against this reform.

“The government has remained deaf to this popular will and the lack of understanding has given way to indignation, as well as anger.” For the inter-union, the use of 49.3 has accentuated “the democratic and social crisis” and causes a “risk of social explosion.”
