Delays in terms of payment between companies are still numerous in France, which can put suppliers in difficulties. However, the law is clear: these periods must not exceed 60 days from the date of the invoice, or 45 days at the end of the month (article L. 441-10 of the commercial code).
The DGCCRF, in charge of monitoring compliance with these regulations, sanctioned several companies in early May for this issue.
Prada also condemned
The giant McDonald’s France is thus fined 200,000 euros “for delays in the payment of its suppliers’ invoices” after an investigation initiated by the Repression of Fraud.
Eight other companies are sanctioned for the same acts. These are Abeille Asset Management (€75,000 fine), Prada Retail France (€15,000), Alliance Automotive (€100,000), Axa Investment Managers (€45,000), Zambon France (€55,000), Hellio Solutions (€40,000), Girpi (2,000 euros) and CS Comlandi (26,000 euros).
The DGCCRF recalls that “the amount of the fine is doubled in the event of repeated non-compliance within two years from the date on which the first sanctioning resolution becomes final”.
