It is, without a doubt, the aftermath of the wave of resignations that has affected France for several months. According to the employment barometer of the Adecco-Analytics group, 4,515,168 contracts are expected throughout France during the twelve months after October 1, 2022. 43% of them will be permanent contracts, while fixed-term contracts will represent almost one in three job offers. compared to one in five temporary hires. The remaining 7% will be internships and apprenticeship contracts.
Not surprisingly, these contracts are largely captured by sectors of activity in tension. The Adecco-Analytics study highlights the 20 professions that will hire the most in the next twelve months and 17 of them have difficulty hiring. The catering service and storage and order preparation positions each represent nearly 200,000 hiring forecasts. They are followed by kitchen staff (163,682), premises cleaning staff (138,785) and general catering staff (129,686).
Almost one million hires in the Parisian region
A sign of this tension, the projected labor shortage in these sectors amounts to several tens of thousands, at least. According to the group’s barometer, there are between 125,000 and 150,000 jobs for restaurant services and between 75,000 and 100,000 for kitchen staff. Likewise, they vary from 50,000 to 75,000 positions in the technical-commercial relationship professions and the range is similar for multi-skilled restaurant staff.
Finally, the geographical distribution shows that the population basins continue to concentrate a large part of the recruitments. Of the approximately 4.5 million job offers, almost one million are in Île-de-France. The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is not far behind with more than half a million expected hirings, while Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, New Aquitaine, Occitanie and Hauts-de-France have around 400,000 hiring forecasts before 1 october. , 2023.
