Do you want to see something ridiculous? Check out the series of films Corey Feldman made before he was 16. Beginning in 1984, Feldman’s character was responsible for Jason’s slowdown Friday the 13th – The last chapter. He continued with appearances in Joe Dante gremlinby Richard Donner the Goonies, Adapted by Rob Reiner of Stephen King’s body (titled Stay on my side), and Joel Schumacher’s elegant vampire thriller The missing child. The latter, one of the best horror movies The 1980s turns 35 this year, so Warner Bros. Home Video gives it 4K polish for a nice reissue with a great cover. And to promote the film, Feldman and fellow frog brother Jamison Newlander met with Gossipify to remember the film’s making and legacy.
look again The missing child For the first time in years, I realized just how involved the Frog Brothers, played by Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander, were in the decimation of the film’s major vampires. Yes, it’s Nanuk the dog who throws Dwayne (Billy Wirth) into the bathtub full of holy water. And the “Death by Stereo” moment is iconic. But when Edgar Frog bets Marko (bill and ted star alex winter ), the brothers are covered in sticky liquids, which Feldman says traumatized him endlessly on set. feldman says:
Personally, I was traumatized by the slime. People don’t realize how slimy he was … every time we killed a vampire, Joel had decided he didn’t want to be gory and gory. I wanted him to still be able to attract children. So I knew that if it was real blood and it looked really dark and intense, the kids would be afraid to go see it. Parents would not like to show it to children. So instead, he created this glitter paste mix. It was full of glitter, to make it shine, or whatever. And it was very slimy and sticky, so once we killed the first vampire, of course, we had to equalize every day.

As you can see on the lip, the guys are sprinkled with vampire guts, resulting in a messy cleaning. As Corey Feldman explained to Gossipify:
What they would do is take us to the set and devour us, drool all over the place, and then we’ll do this scene. … And then you came out of there and you were tearing bits of stuff out of your hair for days. And then they said, “Okay, the next scene we’re going to do is page 7 of the movie, starting with when you’re at the comic store.” Go clean! So we took our bikes to Dick Donner’s office, showered and changed very quickly, and Joel was yelling at us, “Where’s Feldman? Where’s Newland? I need you on set!
The glamorous side of Hollywood cinema. Yet this effort has helped The missing child become a classic for a generation, a classic without equal despite the rumors make it into a tv series or, even worse, try to do it put a remake on the big screen with new people. Perhaps one of them would have included the alternate ending Joel Schumacher planned his original film. Wonder if it also includes glitter?
