Slowdown on Ringo Starr’s tour: The former Beatles member canceled two consecutive concerts this weekend. The first, on Saturday night, was to take place at the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan. The venue only announced the show’s cancellation a few hours before the concert, citing the 82-year-old singer’s state of health:
“Ringo is sick and was hoping to continue, hence the last minute decision, but his voice was affected so tonight’s concert (…) is cancelled. Ringo does not have Covid.”
The Sunday night concert at the Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, still in Michigan, was canceled the next day for the same reasons. His next date, Tuesday night in Winnipeg (Canada), has not been communicated.
no clear information
It is unknown at the moment what the British musician suffers from. No clear information was given about a possible postponement of the first concert, but the venue that was to host the second announced that “a new date will be announced in the future” and that all original tickets will remain valid.
Ringo Starr is currently on tour with his band formed in 1989, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. The musician has followed his solo career since the breakup of the Beatles in 1970. Along with Paul McCartney, he is one of the last two living Beatles. In 2018, Prince William knighted him.
