Grey’s Anatomy made a jaw-dropping revelation in the season 19 premiere, and fans were shocked

Spoiler alert! This story contains spoilers for Grey’s AnatomySeason 19 preview, “Everything Has Changed”. Make sure you are up to date before reading on!

Grey’s Anatomy kicked off its 19th season in delirium, presentation of five new residents after a rare tornado in Seattle. The natural disaster was the setting for an episode intended to update viewers on what happened to Gray Sloan in the six months since final events of season 18 as you try to get to know the characters they are it should be the main focus go on. “Everything Changed” included some nice returns to the 2005 series premiere, and there was a punch in the stomach in particular that left me, and much of the fandom, shocked.

Luca Adams (played by Niko Terho) was described as overly arrogant, and actually failed his first mission, when he informed THE BAD MOTHER that her son was brain dead. After cleaning up his mess, he was allowed to clean up nickmarshThe triple organ transplant, in front of which he moved declared: “It is a beautiful day to save lives. And how Riccardo Weber looked up Amelia shepherd Yes meredith gray in the gallery, Amelia said nonchalantly:

Derek was a god to him. And Lucas was Derek’s favorite nephew.

EXCUSE ME?! There is another Shepherd among us! Lucas Adams, apparently the son of one of the DerekHer other sisters (besides Amelia, she has Nancy, Kathleen and Liz), she followed in the footsteps of her late uncle, and oh my god, the potential to collect so many references to Derek gives me life! Amelia didn’t seem to have much faith in her abilities as a niece, but Meredith was convinced that, like Amelia, Luke “Don’t Call Me Skywalker” Adams was worth more than the Shepherd family’s reputation as a black sheep.

When Niko Terho was announced as part of Grey’s Anatomy new cast of his character was played, by Term , as “determined to prove himself a surgeon, like many of his family members who preceded him”. So cunning! Social media has exploded with the revelation and it doesn’t seem like I’m the only one emitting an audible gasp, if not a few tears, like this fan:

I mean, sure, we were expecting some interesting stories from our five new friends, but a true blood relative of the McDreamys? Good game, Grey, good game. It will take a minute to process what just happened:

If other stories, memories, references, etc. they are waiting for us. by Derek Shepherd, This season we will need more wine. Especially if this was your (very understandable) reaction:

There were hints of OG trainees in the new characters introduced in the season 19 premiere. Giulio Millin (Adelaide Kane) I slept with Connection (Chris Carmac) before their first day, just like Meredith and Derek in the first season. Benson “Blue” Kwan (played by Harry Shum Jr. ) was ferocious, did not hesitate to inform a family of the death of a loved one, and made up a story to persuade a grieving mother to accept organ donation. Cristina Yang maybe vibration?

Mika Yasuda (Francesco Midori) has put his foot in his mouth several times, e Simone Griffith (invent ana this is Alessio Floyd ) revealed that her mother died giving birth to her in that same hospital, but she also had some good comedic moments that make me want to see more of them. Also, shout Levi Schmitt (Jacques Borelli) for a fantastic “Really?” in response to Meredith that she made him chief resident. My dark twisted heart is satisfied.

We’re just getting started, so we’ll be back next week, when ABC’s medical drama returns at 9pm ET on October 13th. In the meantime, discover ours TV program 2022 to see what’s coming soon.
