Telethon 2023 has already found its sponsor. It is the singer Vianney who will lend his face to this new edition scheduled for December 8 and 9. The French Association against Myopathies (AFM), organizer of the charity event since 1987, announced this in a statement this Wednesday.
“I am very proud,” declares the interpreter of Not there. “I intend to do everything I can to shine a light on these parents and children who struggle every day and support the researchers who are doing tremendous work.”
“We are counting on you”
The 32-year-old singer also published a video message to announce his participation as godfather: “I hope that there is a very large number of people to be (with the Telethon) and feed the hope of these families and these sick people. Count on me, as they count on you.”
Every year, France Télévisions lends its antennas to the AFM for a weekend in order to collect donations to finance research against rare genetic diseases. Each edition is sponsored by a personality. In the last five years, Pascal Obispo, Jean-Paul Rouve, Matt Pokora, Soprano and finally Kev Adams last year have followed one another.
