A high-flying match. During the second day of the official visit of Charles III and Camilla to France, the royal couple traveled to Saint-Denis to meet with the sports associations present in the city on the occasion of the Rugby World Cup.
On this occasion, the Queen indulged in some ping-pong exchanges, first with the French prodigy Prithika Pavade, a 19-year-old player for the French national team, before challenging the First Lady, Brigitte Macron. A match that ended in a draw.
“It was a unique experience, I was very lucky to have been able to meet the royal couple. […] You can see that Queen Camilla has already held a racket and has already played, it was very nice,” Prithika Pavade told BFMTV after the match.
Meeting with PSG
King Charles III, for his part, went to meet with the president of PSG, Nasser al-Khelaïfi and with several club players such as Presnel Kimpembe. Former footballer Didier Drogba was also present at the venue, after having been invited the day before to the state dinner at the Palace of Versailles.
Nasser al-Khelaïfi also offered King Charles III a PSG shirt with the number 3 printed on it. The royal couple must continue their visit to Saint-Denis with a visit to the basilica before heading to the flower market with Elizabeth II. Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris in the early afternoon.
