Passage through Saint-Denis

This Friday’s Bordeaux stage follows a busy Thursday. Yesterday’s day began in the Senate for the king, who listened to speeches by Yaël Braun-Pivet and Gérard Larcher before speaking himself, partially in French, to talk about Franco-British friendship. He also renewed his support for Ukraine.
The Versailles dinner, a key stage of this state visit
Arriving on Wednesday, the royal couple began by rekindling the flame of the Unknown Soldier before heading to the Champs-Elysées. After a visit to the Elysée, they dined at the Palace of Versailles in the company of some 150 carefully selected guests.
Charlotte Gainsbourg, Amélie Mauresmo, Hugh Grant and Mick Jagger participated in the meal, prepared by Anne-Sophie Pic, Yannick Alléno and Pierre Hermé.
End of the Parisian stage
This day in Bordeaux will mark the end of the Parisian visit of the royal couple, who arrived in the capital on Wednesday. For two days, the Kings made numerous visits with the President of the Republic and his wife Brigitte Macron.
A visit under the sign of ecology
This Bordeaux stage will be divided into several stages. Upon arrival, scheduled for 1:15 p.m., Charles and Camilla will begin with a walk before speaking with Pierre Hurmic, environmentalist mayor of Bordeaux.
A military ceremony will take place at the Place des Quinconces, before a concert at the Place de la Bourse, where they will travel by tram.
Next, the royal couple will visit an experimental forest in Floirac, where scientists from the University of Bordeaux and Inrae are studying the response of forests to environmental changes since 2020.
Finally, before flying back to the UK, Charles and Camilla will visit the Château Smith Haut Lafitte wine estate.
Last stop of the state visit of King Charles III
The last day of the King of England’s visit to France has arrived. Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla leave Paris this Friday for Bordeaux. Its departure is scheduled for 11:11 a.m. from Montparnasse station.
