In the wake of the ventilation finally the complicated end of season 4 as part of season 5, FBI He has another deal on the way. The October 11 episode will see OA trying to balance an investigation into brutal attacks with his own traumatic event … which he tries to hide from his fellow agents. Star Zeeko Zaki spoke to Gossipify to get an idea of what’s going on and why the new episode will be a must see. FBI Fans.
Episode of 11 October FBI It’s called “Victim” and OA will have more in his pot than usual after being mugged the morning before the team took the brutal case of assault. She chooses to hide information about what happened to her, and while fans will have to wait and see the aftermath, Zeeko Zaki talked about the choices her character makes when this time around, she’s on the other side of a crime.
Speaking with Gossipify, he shared what prompts OA to hide from other agents:
I think it’s an exciting time for the audience to witness something that happened very personally to one of the characters and then show the balance with which all agents try to keep their personal stuff away from work. Our work is about people’s personal lives and is an exciting opportunity to see how we mix or don’t mix the personal lives of officers, especially when it comes to traumatic events that have a right to affect yours. to work.
FBI It’s a very procedural show that takes the action from case to case every week, but “Victim” will also focus much more than usual on the OA character. OA has personally struggled with some high-profile cases in the past, like when she was caused by a sarin gas offense just last season (which ended badly to explain Maggie Missy Peregrym’s absence from maternity leave ).
However, being attacked and then working on an investigation is something he hasn’t had to deal with, and even OA may not be able to prevent personal trauma, as Zaki said, from having the “right to influence” the own work. The actor went on to share the kind of support his character gets (or doesn’t get) from the rest of the team as he tries to hide information from them:
The fun part of the game is that these agents, regardless of everything, are the best of the best. All of our characters remain so strong in their work, which is really exciting, and then for me to keep secrecy around these people, whether I’m aware of it or not, is one thing. But it’s really fun to play with personal stuff when you’re in the characters, and I think it’s more fun for the other characters too. Episodes like this just give us one more level to play with, and this is one of those levels you just checked out for yourself. If it looked real, it will sound real. So it’s definitely a fun layer to sprinkle on top.
The Central Agents Unit FBI changed from Maggie’s exposure to sarin gas and Nina Chase’s arrival to fill the vacancy, but they are no less capable with Nina aboard than they are with Maggie. Indeed, as “the best of the best,” they may be more aware that something is wrong with OA as she copes with her trauma. There are some new levels that we hope to see in “Victim”. When I asked Zeeko Zaki if it was difficult for a character to keep a big secret about himself while working with a top-notch investigation team, he replied:
Exactly! It is, and I think it’s a really fun terminus to play. Keeping a secret from a team of investigators really shows how, in whatever circle you are or in any work environment, when we step into those stubborn and frustrating “I know what’s best”, they are present at all levels.
It seems OA may not be able to stop his colleagues and friends from noticing that something is wrong with him, as they know him as a friend and fellow agent. Whether this is a good thing or not remains to be seen, with Zaki adding that his character will lose control over the course of the episode. The actor said:
I think the lesson is that you just have to look around and see what your support system is and really honor yourself for not having landed in a place with such a support system, if that weren’t true. OA is just trying to create a perfect game and wants to leave those problems behind, especially with her partner. So I think it’s fun to see him lose control for a while.
OA’s potential loss of control comes just a week after the season 4 finale was released as part of season 5 and showed Jubal lost some control. due to your child’s involvement in a frightening deal. Season 5 also opened with such an explosive episode changed OA’s priorities , and the intensity doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon. Also, Zeeko Zaki has already explained why fans should be happy with the return of Missy Peregrym as Maggie so there is a lot to wait.
Find out how OA copes with personal trauma when “Victim” airs in the next episode of FBI (opens in a new tab) Tuesday, October 11 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, followed by new episodes of FBI: international at 21 and FBI: Most Wanted at 22:00 You can relive past seasons in streaming with a Paramount + subscription and check back with Gossipify for more information on Zeeko Zaki.
