Acting together in several films spawned a true friendship between Julia Roberts and George Clooney. Clooney is why Roberts returned to romantic comedies ticket to heaven after it stopped producing them years ago. However, the true sign of meaningful friendship is giving nicknames. The Hollywood star talked about the striking moniker by speaking to Jake Hamilton, co-host of the ReelBlend podcast promoting romantic comedy. The on-screen duo answered questions about the film before it became their decade-long friendship. They discussed everything from drunken times along with introducing films from their vast filmographies that they could star in together. The conversation focused on a particular moment in the romantic comedy involving mobile phones. This prompted Roberts to mention the nickname Clooney saved on her phone. She said:
No photos, but George is on my phone with the code name “Batman Cell”. … Now I have to change it.
If you’re a true Clooney fan, you know the codename was quite a friendly blow at the expense of the Oscar-winning actor. Of course, the 61-year-old starred in the ill-fated 1997 sequel. batman and robin like the black knight. The film was considered the end of the Batman franchise at the time. Even the movie star was quick to say that the superhero movie was terrible.
But when they’re friends like Clooney and Roberts, they can do stupid things like this without consequences, like joking about Roberts’ signature laugh, for example. She made a joke when asked if there was a code name for her co-star him. Of course the ticket to heaven Star responded brazenly with a classic from Robert’s film resume.

Well, Clooney’s response was a little underwhelming. It would have been great if he had saved her under the beloved movie. At least he was enjoying himself. But like Roberts, you’ll likely need to change your phone’s codename in case your phone falls into the wrong hands.
In the duo’s latest film, they play divorced couple Georgia and David Cotton. The on-screen couple (or in this case the ex-couple) travel to Bali to prevent their daughter from marrying a man she just met, as they did decades earlier. Along with two Hollywood stars, Kaitlyn Dever and Billie Lourd are part of the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy.
Viewers will finally be able to see Julia Roberts and George Clooney together when ticket to heaven will be released in theaters on October 21st.
