When it comes to the Malfoy family in the beloved Harry Potter series of books and films, there is not much that I like. Generally known for their loyalty to the One who is not to be named, Draco Malfoy and his father Lucius were unbearable as the nemesis of the boy who survived. Outside of the movies, however, this father-son bond has been maintained in the best possible way, and the relationship between Tom Felton and his “father” Jason Isaacs seems the furthest thing from evil. Felton posted a photo of them together at one of his shows, and it makes this writer as happy as the Weasley twins at Zonko’s Joke Shop.
More than a decade since then Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 in theaters, the link remains between the actors, many of whom grew up in front of the cameras. Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy always stay in touch with Jason Isaacs, who played his father Lucius, as the first posted a photo for instagram showing them both at Felton’s exhibit 222: A ghost story. No dark markings are visible in this photo, with Jason Isaacs sporting a proud smile and Tom Felton refers to him in the caption as his “father”. I love that 11 years later Isaacs continues to support projects Felton found outside of the Wizarding World franchise, and I can’t be the only fan to love that they’re still playing with their father / son relationship.
It is not even the first time. The two are known to exchange Birthday messages filled with love (and Dobby’s spooky cosplay) in which Tom Felton calls the famous actor “dad”. And Jason Isaacs seemed like a proud father to his message for actor Draco for his birthday in 2020 :: “In these strange dark days, you are always a ray of light to me.” She ended the note with “I love you, boy”, to which Felton replied, “I love you, dad.” Shut up my heart!
As much as he may live in the wholesomeness of their relationship, Jason Isaacs is not the only one. Harry Potter former student who has a sweet off-screen relationship with Tom Felton. Hermione could have slapped Draco right away. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabanbut Emma Watson and Tom Felton had the cutest friendship ever from the beginning.
Fans of the franchise got to relive many of the cast’s great behind-the-scenes moments, such as Daniel Radcliffe met the rest of the best at Hogwarts in Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts (available for HBO Max subscribers ). Yes Tom Felton recently demonstrated that he is always ready to wear Slytherin green. while promoting a behind-the-scenes tour of his former Hogwarts grounds, which took place on TikTok on September 1.
Fans continue to hope that some of the The OG cast will reunite someday for a film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Curse of the Child which is a theatrical production that follows the children of Draco and Harry.
Sure, that would be music to this Muggle’s ears, but as long as we continue to have these sweet social media interactions between the cast, he might as well be happy about it.
