Attention! The following contains spoilers for the masked singeris “The Night of Andrew Lloyd Webber”. Read at your own risk!
the masked singer Season 8 is going full speed and it doesn’t matter if fans like the new format or not, competitors are get out at a fast pace . “Andrew Lloyd Webber Night” welcomed three other contestants and, of course, the musical master himself as guest speaker. Two more contestants left at the end of the evening, but after the episode I have to ask, did the show outperform the right contestant?
robotic girl managed to move on to the next episode, which meant Corn Yes Siren they were exposed. The siren turned out to be an icon of singing Gloria Gaynorand corn was sex and city actor and comedian Mario Canton (see our full list of revelations here ). Cantone’s elimination was particularly horrifying considering his performance of “Heaven On Their Minds” by Jesus Christ Superstarand the honors from which he received Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The composer was so impressed with Mario Cantone’s first performance that he offered to “go professional” and even offered him a job. When Andrew Lloyd Webber learned he was Canton in the guise, he was shocked nonetheless, even considering Canton’s previous Broadway credits. Webber whispered to colleague Nicole Scherzinger that he didn’t know Cantone could sing that way, so it’s clear he was really impressed with this performance on the masked singer.
Yet, for some reason, the public took out Maize first, which seemed odd. Obviously, it was a fiercely competitive night, and it wouldn’t even be the first time this season that a talented competitor was sent home early . That said, one would think that competitor Andrew Lloyd Webber directly praised during the episode would not have been the first to be eliminated!
It seems that even the very different format of the masked singer Season 8 can’t stop some of this series’ long-standing problems. Studio audiences always send talented competitors home, and in this case, it’s not even clear why it happened. It looks like season 8 could also lead to more questionable eliminations than previous seasons, which doesn’t seem to be something fans enjoy.
At the same time, it will be interesting to see if the masked singer fans finally resented the eliminations given the pace this season. Mario Cantone did a great job, but with only one episode appearing, it would be hard to imagine that many fans will think about it again next week. This is especially true with “Muppet Night” coming up, which should be a blast. seen how the unmasking of Kermit the Frog took place in season 5.
the masked singer aired on the fox Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Anyone behind in the episodes of season 8 can catch up on a Hulu subscription And it’s worth it if you missed Mario Cantone’s impressive performance!
