The world of The noob expanded this fall with the official debut of the single player spinoff. Even if only four episodes of The rookie: the feds have aired so far, the series just got some great news from ABC. The network has officially given The noob spin out an order for the entire season and star Niecy Nash is ready for a surprise.
According to TV Line, nine additional episodes of The rookie: the feds were ordered, bringing the first season to 22 episodes in total, a rare number for a new show these days. The series stars Niecy Nash as Simone Clark, the FBI’s oldest recruit, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have the ability to catch bad guys. Nash took to Instagram after the news, thanking all the fans who made the collection possible:
Thank you so much guys for playing #TheRookieFeds, your support means everything to me 💋 #MoodAllDay 😂
Niecy Nash appreciates her post, and it was definitely something to celebrate for a show that was only four episodes long… if you don’t count the advantage she had in the spring, anyway! The spinoff began as a two-part backdoor rider in season four of The noob, and the odds looked good at first that the series would get a series order. Now, although the two programs do not air on the same night, they have already managed to cross paths.
In light of the good news, Niecy Nash almost seemed to have channeled his character The rookie: the feds. The video he posted with the caption of him came from ABC and showed an excited Simon expecting more. Which fan can’t relate to these vibes?
With The rookie: the feds As part of ABC’s Fall 2022 schedule, it was able to cross paths with its mothers series and grab the attention of more viewers than the average freshman show. Now that the season has received a few more episodes, it should be interesting to see if the show allows for more crossovers. The last deal The noobThe all-time villain, Rosalind, and it’s been a couple of shocking episodes, to say the least.
Meanwhile, the star The rookie: the feds he was already famous enough before he landed the role of Simone. In particular, he played a very different type of cop during Rennes 9-1-1and the new ABC series showcases her acting skills to those who know her best for her comedy. Yes the feds is a hit with Nash at the helm, could this spin-off be the first of a long series? (It worked for NBC crime dramas after all!) For now, however, ABC will likely only focus on the two current shows.
The noobNathan Fillion previously spoke of a concern he had The rookie: the feds, admitting that he was afraid that one star on his show would end up starring in the other. Fortunately, this was not the case, and the feds has an entirely new cast of characters who are already friends with their LAPD friends. Fans are likely to look forward to more crossovers in the future, especially with the request for more episodes of the feds.
We cross our fingers that this full season order is just the beginning The rookie: the feds‘long term on ABC and continue together The noob. But in the meantime, we’ll have to keep looking! new episodes of The rookie: the feds airs Tuesdays at 10pm EST on ABC.
