“The voice will see us very soon for the return of secret historyand don’t forget: be careful with appearances!”, this is the message that travelers who took the metro, the RER or the Parisian stations could hear this Thursday.
Several messages uttered by Dominique Duforest, the actor who for ten years provided the emblematic voice-over of the program, echoed through the transport’s loudspeakers. Numerous Internet users have published on social networks these sequences filmed in Châtelet-les Halles, at Lyon station, or on a platform and in the subway, rejoicing at the return of the show and ensuring the virality of TF1’s marketing campaign.
“The voice has an extremely important announcement, other travelers could also hear it. Your mission, if you accept it, is to keep an eye on your luggage and remain attentive to those often forgotten bags that disturb your trips. The voice and the RATP want your secrets remain well kept. See you very soon for the return of secret history“.
The return of secret history It’s no surprise, TF1 confirmed it last October, putting an end to several months of rumors. Host Benjamin Castaldi, who hosted the original show from 2007 to 2014, had indicated that he would not reprise the role.
Broadcast between 2007 and 2017 on the first channel, secret history featured the candidates locked in a house and filmed all day, the goal of which was to protect a secret and their prize pool while trying to uncover the other contestants’ secrets.
For 11 seasons and almost 1000 shows, secret history provided cult moments of reality TV and allowed certain candidates such as Benoît Dubois, Thomas Vitiello, Marie Garet, Caroline ReceveurAyem Nour, Eddy, Amélie Neten, Capucine Anav and Senna to make themselves known to the general public.
