Ten of them will secure their place in the final at the end of this afternoon. Another ten will qualify on Thursday, during the second semi-final. These 20 countries will be joined by six automatically qualified: the five members of the Big Five (the largest financial contributors, including France) and Sweden, as last year’s winner with the song Tattoo by Lorena. Thus, 26 countries will compete in the final on Saturday night. Here are the 15 candidates who will perform this Tuesday, in order of appearance:

How is voting organized?

As required by the regulations, voting is open to spectators from the 15 participating countries in this first semi-final and closed to those in the second. Thursday night will be the opposite. Automatically qualified countries can also vote during the semi-final in which they participate. In fact, French viewers will not be able to give their opinion during this afternoon’s vote.

Since last year, countries that do not participate in the contest can participate in the voting; Their paths come together in a single category, called “The Rest of the World”, which acts as an additional country.

The outcome of the semi-finals is determined solely by viewer voting. Only on the night of the final does a jury made up of experts from each participating country come into play, representing 50% of the points awarded by each country.

Voting for one’s own country is prohibited for three nights. To vote, viewers can access the website www.esc.vote, download the official Eurovision application or do so by phone or SMS. The contact number will be displayed on the screen during each of the three nights.
