“What I’m experiencing is something crazy”: Pierre Garnier releases his first album, “Every Second”

“Star Academy” winner Pierre Garnier, who achieved impressive success with his first single, releases his first album this Friday, June 7, titled “Every second.”

Even before the release of his first album, Pierre Garnier became a real phenomenon. The Star Academy winner conquered the public with his first title. those we were, thanks to a personality that moved the public and social networks. The song, listened to more than 50 million times on Spotify, reached unprecedented audience levels.

Pierre Garnier’s album, Every second, comes out this Friday. She tells BFMTV about his new life, his desires and what she wanted to say through this album.

“Since I made ‘Star Ac’ I live life at 100 kilometers per hour, every second is different. I try to make the most of every moment, because what I am experiencing is crazy,” she says.

• Your new life

His popularity exploded overnight and his life changed dramatically. Pierre Garnier thus participated in 50 concerts – on a tour that included 75 – with his colleagues from Star Ac. A parenthesis that he considers a “break in life.” “We don’t know anything about what’s happening, we don’t see our loved ones.”

“When we return to our previous lives, everything around us has changed,” emphasizes this former business school student. “We have to rebuild ourselves on this new life, but it is a very beautiful life.”

“It’s a little bit of everything I dreamed of having, doing concerts, having a life as an artist. This new life is certainly different, but it’s the life I always wanted.”

• The madness around “Those Who Were”

Pierre Garnier didn’t really see the success of his first single coming. He realized this the day after his impromptu performance during the Star Academy finals. papajuwho came on set to perform one of his own songs with him, changes his mind at the last minute.

“Today I don’t want us to sing Dadju, I want us to sing Pierre,” he says, to everyone’s surprise, asking Pierre Garnier to sing. those we were in guitar voice instead of the planned piece.

“The next day, when I pick up the phone, I see all the madness on the networks, and later, when I do interviews, (I realize),” he slides. “

“At first I feel like ‘this is a lot, what should I do, who am I?’

“I didn’t think it would make so much noise,” he says.

“Maybe the acoustic version changed something. But it’s actually inexplicable. The show was very strong. People became fond of me and this song, which, despite me, reflects the adventure we went through, reminds them of all that.”

“All the stars have aligned,” he analyzes. “But you shouldn’t tell yourself it’s for life. You don’t know how it can happen next. I’ll take what I have to take. You have to keep your feet on the ground and not go so far as to say that.” everything is acquired, because everything has to be done.

• Mental health, a “generational” issue

The second excerpt from his album, We know, talks about mental health and reflects the questions and doubts of his generation. “I think there are billions of us who don’t know which way to go,” she sings.

“I thought it was important to talk about this topic,” insists the singer.

“Before ‘Star Ac’, I was lost in what I wanted to do. It’s generational. We study, but we don’t know what we want to do with our lives. J “I have many friends like that. With social media, whenever they ask you, always having opinions, after a while you get a little lost.”

He declares himself “shy” and wants to be a spokesperson for those who have difficulty expressing themselves. “I thought it was important to talk about that, because there are a lot of shy people who have difficulty expressing themselves, for example orally in class. We don’t necessarily have all the words, we can’t necessarily create a bond with people.” , but that’s not a big deal.”

• The king of ballads

Pierre Garnier’s album is dotted with ballads, his favorite genre, the one that revealed him. A style that he assumes. “I like that. I started with a guitar voice, a piano voice, singing very acoustically. It was important that (on the album) there were songs that were a little more produced, for dancing, but also songs that really reflected me, with some instruments and my voice well highlighted”.

He is also aware that this is what the public expects of him, as evidenced by fans’ expectations of the acoustic version of those we werewhen the single was first released in studio version.

The young singer is also very confident in his songs. “I have trouble talking orally about my feelings with people close to me, but I’m pretty good at doing it in my songs. And I found it interesting to really enjoy that and talk about love and friendship. Feelings are 80% of our life “

“I want these songs to be like me and that I can sing them all my life,” he concludes.
