A long-awaited reunion between Salvatore Adamo and his audience. The artist, who was forced to twice postpone his concert at the Grand Rex last October due to pulmonary edema, returned to his Parisian audience this Wednesday, June 5.
For the occasion, the 80-year-old Belgian singer offered more than two hours of show, performing his greatest hits as The world hurts, As always, A dream, or your piece Insh’Allahto the delight of his fans.
Six months off and new single
Last October, on tour to defend his new album It’s my lifeSalvatore Adamo was forced to cancel part of his concerts after he was diagnosed with lung congestion.
“I had pulmonary edema, due to stress, fatigue… It took me a little more than six months to recover. Even at 40 I had a heart attack, so it leaves small after-effects.” Of course, having pulmonary edema can affect the heart. That’s why it was important for me to rest,” the artist explains to RTL.
Since then, Salvatore Adamo returned to the stage at the beginning of May. The singer also took advantage of this forced break to work on a new single. Loquats and currants, scheduled for October. After Paris, he will also perform on October 1 at the Olympia in Paris and on November 6 in Nantes.
