The Conners seem to follow the Goldbergs in killing a character

For the majority, The Conners began its fifth season with most of the characters on relatively happy ground, thanks to marital bliss that ended season 4 , and things are proceeding more or less in balance. Unfortunately, the dysfunctional status quo may take a dark and sad turn afterward comedy halloween parties as it appears that ABC sitcoms Wednesday night could be influenced by another character’s death later the Goldbergs Murray’s death management from the time jump.

The Conners is set for Welcome to the new rosanna veterinary Estelle Parsons as Jackie and Roseanne’s ever-judicious mother, Beverly, who marks her first place as a guest since season three, with COVID incidents that frustrate any past attempts to bring her back. And while I freely admit that this might just be a guess based on the morbid variety, take a look at the episode description for The Conners‘the next Thanksgiving episode and tell me it doesn’t sound a bad omen for old Bev.

  • ‘Untitled’ – It’s Thanksgiving to Conners and Jackie has to deal with the fact that her mother, Beverly, is sick. Meanwhile, Darlene is looking for a job, which turns out to be more difficult than expected. (description of the work episode)

If Bev caught a cold, stomach bug, or even the flu, it wouldn’t be a fun test, but it probably wouldn’t elicit a life-adjusting reaction from Jackie, who tends to relish her mother’s misery. (And of course). But does someone ever have to “get along” with someone else “get sick” in a way that is not terminal?

With Jackie uprooted to move into Neville’s pet-attacked bubble after the big wedding, Laurie Metcalf’s character returned home on an emotional edge, and it was only a matter of time before Bev had again affected her neuroses. But the fact that Bev may be facing a cancer diagnosis or something similar would affect her daughter’s mood in a completely different way than normal, about five years after Roseanne died from an overdose.

That said, things don’t have to end badly, even if the November 16 episode has something sour. Even if Bev has cancer or another life-threatening condition, that doesn’t mean things will prove fatal. It might come as a shock to Jackie’s system that her mother loses her independence from the health care system, or something like that, without Bev being necessarily close to death, harassing the Grim Reaper to open up.

The Conners already unofficially said goodbye to DJ, with Michael Fishman is gone before the start of the season, explained during the visit to his wife, with Mary jumping between the houses in the meantime. But should fans be ready to say goodbye to Bev during the holiday season?

For starters, showrunner Bruce Helford shared with television line in September that the cheaters The team was securing Estelle Parsons, saying there were “some great episodes” they had planned for Bev. So while it looks like we won’t have to worry about his death in the aforementioned episode, that sense of security won’t last long.

The Conners airs Wednesday night on ABC before new episodes of the Goldbergs, Abbott Elementary School Yes Domestic economy. go to our Program of the first TV 2022 to see which new and recurring shows will debut later this year.
