Full House’s Jodie Sweetin reflects on Bob Saget’s absence as she celebrates her 35th birthday

The Sold out the family reached a rather important milestone in September, celebrate 35th anniversary from the premiere of the ABC sitcom. But as the actors who played the beloved Tanner family pondered for three and a half decades, they did so without a whole enough member. Bob Saget died in January. from a head injury at the age of 65, and if you didn’t once know how close the TV family has remained over the years, it is now. Jodie Sweetin was among the cast members sharing stories and memories of her father on TV and recently talked about what it was like to celebrate such an important birthday without him.

Jodie Sweetin was only 5 when she started playing younger sister Stephanie Tanner in the 1987 family sitcom, which ran for eight seasons. Considering how much she grew up in Sold out established, it’s easy to see how she came to see her co-stars as family, making this 35th anniversary milestone bittersweet without her patriarch. she said honey Eastern time :

Thirty-five is great. And every time I think about 35, I think I’ve lived past 35, which is terrifying. But it was a little bittersweet. We always like to celebrate these great milestones and every year we feel like it’s one more year that we’ve all been this big family. And we definitely miss Bob, but we know he was with us. He is always in the middle. He would never stop being the center of attention, I love him.

It seems that even if Bob Saget, who became fondly known as “America’s Dad” for his role as widower Danny Tanner, was not present in the body, loved ones felt his spirit. Jodie Sweetin said the same when she marked the big day with old Instagram photos, pointing out that they wouldn’t be the family they are without Saget:

This wasn’t the first time Bob Saget made his presence known on one of Jodie Sweetin’s big days. John Stamos (aka Uncle Jesse) shared a sweet story about Sweetin’s wedding day , in July, when he grabbed a random shirt from his closet as he ran out the door of his wedding to Mescal Wasilewski. stamo says:

[I] Wear it, I drive and feel great. When I arrived I looked and understood why Kelly [Rizzo]Bob’s wife, she gave us a lot of things, and it was Bob’s shirt … I started crying when I realized [and] I said “Jodie, Bob is here”.

John Stamos expressed how much his television brother-in-law meant to him, even attending the funeral that followed.punk rock shiva “a giveaway that premiered on Netflix What Dirty Daddy: the homage to Bob Saget. Stamos joined Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure, Dave Coulier, Scott Weinger and others who showed Bob Saget some love on Sold out birthday.

While Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey) has expressed interest in do another one Sold out divided John Stamos said so it wouldn’t be the same without Bob Saget and will continue to honor the actor in other ways.
