Fashion show classes, English classes, makeup classes… Preparing for the Miss Universe pageant is not an easy task. Indira Ampiot, Miss France 2023, who will represent France in the next contest in Mexico on November 17, explained to TF1 how she was preparing for the contest and confided that she has been working since January.
The preparation “started in January.” Therefore, the young woman went to London for six months to improve her English and dedicated herself to it “non-stop.”
“I told myself ‘I have my goal at the end of the year and I have to achieve it and I have to be at my best level.’
In addition to English classes, Indira Ampiot will have to take intensive courses to learn how to parade.
“Six hours of catwalk”
“I imagined a fairly intense preparation, and so it is. During the week I can have three two-hour show classes. That is, six hours of show a week,” “riding on 40,000-centimeter heels.”
Indira Ampiot also learns, with a trainer, to “pose,” to “stand upright,” to “carry her head, to sway her hips.”
She also plays sports “twice a week” and takes “makeup classes, hairdressing classes, classes to learn how to dress.”
“Sabotaged”
Last year it was Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022, who tried the exercise. Humorously recounting her unfortunate experience – she did not reach the top 20 – she explained having been “sabotaged” by the makeup team and also regretted having been “bad on stage.”
While waiting for the fateful date, Indira Ampiot is also preparing to launch the famous “Indira Ampiot, France”, which turned out to be fatal for other candidates. The performance of Eva Colas, former first runner-up of Maeva Coucke, in Miss Universe 2018 went viral and is still remembered.
