In full promotion of his new album Friends and his autobiography, Eddy Mitchell, 82, announced that he was postponing the publication of his album for “slight health reasons,” he informed his fans on his Instagram account on Tuesday.
“Small health reasons force Eddy Mitchell to temporarily interrupt the promotion of his new album,” can be read in a statement published on the social network.
“As a result, the release of the album. Friends is postponed to November 29,” the text adds, before reassuring the singer’s fans: “For those who have already pre-ordered the album, their orders remain valid for this new date.”
With Souchon and Bishop
Friends is Eddy Mitchell’s 40th album. He has already released a single, In a Pontiac convertible. His composer Pierre Papadiamandis having died, he turned to Alain Souchon, William Sheller, Pascal Obispo and Alain Chamfort for his songs.
“I thought you would like to hear songs that are not yours, but that are obvious, like Souchon and everyone does so well,” he declared last week on France Inter.
Eddy Mitchell will also publish his autobiography on November 7. “For the first time, Eddy Mitchell is honest,” warns his editor Le Cherche Midi. “He tells himself and tells us about his life here, from Belleville in the 50s to today.”
