piercing, a successful British series broadcast by Netflix, will welcome a Frenchman in its second season: the streaming giant revealed on Friday that actor Thibault de Montalembert would join the cast in this new round. It will be a return to the series format for the actor, after having played Mathias Barneville on the box Ten percent.
Montalembert’s Thibault will play Stéphane, the father of Nick (Kit Connor), one of the two lead characters. Olivia Colman, who played the latter’s mother in season 1, will return. Two new young actors have also been announced for casting: Ash Self and Bel Priestley. The release date is not yet known.
A planned third season
Adapted from the graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman, piercing follows young Charlie Spring (Joe Locke), the only openly gay teenager in his high school, who falls in love with one of his classmates. this series feel good, Released last April, on Netflix it had quickly climbed to the Top 10 of the most viewed content on the platform, and a season 3 was already ordered.
